Step 1 of 6
Your details
So we know who to call back. We will not pass these on to anyone else.
Step 2 of 6
Is your staircase straight?
A straight staircase runs in one continuous flight with no bends, turns or half landings.
Step 3 of 6
Would you like to rent or buy?
Both are straight stairlifts, installed and maintained by our own engineers.
Step 4 of 6
Measure your staircase
We need one measurement to work out the rail length. Take your time, and use a metal tape measure rather than a fabric one.
- Find the top nose. That is the front edge of the top step, where it overhangs the step below.
- Hook your tape measure over that edge.
- Run the tape down the slope of the stairs, resting on the front edge of every step, all the way to where it meets the floor at the bottom.
- Write the number down in millimetres. If your tape reads in centimetres, multiply by 10. A typical staircase is between 3,000mm and 5,000mm.
Not sure about your measurement?
That is completely normal, and it is much better to check than to guess. The rail is cut to this measurement, so it has to be right. Pick whichever suits you.
Step 5 of 6, optional
A few more measurements
These are all optional. Filling them in helps us prepare properly and can save time on the day, but you can skip straight past if you would rather we took them ourselves.
Measure along the landing from the top nose to wherever the wall ends or a door frame begins.
The diagonal across a single step, from the nose of one step to the nose of the step below it.
Measure along the floor from the bottom step outwards, to whatever the stairlift would reach first: the end of the wall, the start of a door frame, or a radiator.
The width of the staircase from wall to wall, or wall to bannister, measured across a step.

Refurbished stairlift
Tell us what you are looking for
Refurbished stairlifts are priced individually, so we will put a quote together and email it to you.
Refurbished straight stairlifts
Excluding VAT. Zero rated if you qualify for disability VAT relief.
That starting price is for a manual model, where the swivel seat and footrest are operated by hand. Fully powered models cost more. We will confirm the exact price once we know what you need.
We only supply straight stairlifts
Curved staircases need a rail made to measure for that specific staircase, which is not something we offer. We would rather tell you now than waste your time.
If you would like us to point you in the right direction, we are happy to have a quick word. There is no charge and no obligation.
Thank you, we have your request
We will be in touch to confirm everything with you.
